The County is aware that now we are back into another lockdown that most Scout Groups may be struggling to continue to provide Zoom sessions for sections and some in fact may not have been able to provide a regular session for our Young People for some time.
In order to help with this and to try and provide an additional provision for our Groups, we will be putting on a six-week programme of free weekly online activity sessions for our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. These will be available across the whole of the County and will not need to have a section leader or parent take part. We simply just want to provide additional fun and activity support for our Young People.
The first sessions will start WC 18th January and will be held as follows
Beavers (6 – 8 years old) – Tuesdays @ 4.00pm
Cubs (8 – 10 1/2 years old) – Wednesdays @ 4.00pm
Scouts (10 1/2 – 14 years old) – Thursdays @ 4.00pm
You can take part in the sessions regardless of which group or District you are in.
In order to get the Zoom link to you, we ask that you register for these events via the link below.
If you have any friends, in or out of Scouts, who you think would also like to take part, please encourage them to sign up too.
You only need to register for your first session as the weekly links will then be sent out to you. You can start with any session during the six week period.
Leaders are welcome to attend as well and if you have any ideas or suggestions for these sessions or would like to assist in running these then please email info@birminghamscouts.org.uk.
We’d love to see loads of Young People on these sessions so please spread the word amongst your Groups – they won’t replace your regular meetings but we hope they will provide an additional programme for some and encourage other youngsters to join in.
